How to Share Sponsored Content on Facebook – The Facebook Branded Content Tool

A few weeks ago, the news that sharing sponsored content on Facebook was only allowed when you had a business page that carried the blue checkmark spread like a wildfire in the blogosphere. According to Facebook, only pages of well-known persons or businesses would be eligible for getting verification and the blue badge.

Update: Every business page can now make a request for the Facebook Branded Content Tool

Facebook has now made it possible for every Facebook Business Page to be apply for the Facebook Branded Content Tool in order to share sponsored content on Facebook and to comply with their guidelines.

You will find the application form here. It can take a few days until the application will be approved by Facebook. For the blogfoster Facebook Page, it took about two days.

How to use the Facebook Branded Content Tool

After you have received the verification by Facebook, you will see another icon when making a post.

Click on the icon and choose the brand the collaboration or campaign is related to. Make sure to choose the right business page as brands sometimes can have different pages. The blogfoster campaign managers are happy to help you if you have any questions!
